Notifications & installing the app
Install BP-Pickleball like an app and turn on notifications to get real-time alerts — even when the app is closed.
1. Install the app
- Android / desktop Chrome or Edge: tap Install app in the banner or the menu — it installs in one tap.
- iPhone / iPad: in Safari, tap the Share icon (the square with an up-arrow), then Add to Home Screen. On iPhone this step is required before notifications can be turned on.
2. Turn on notifications
Go to My account → Notifications and tap Turn on, then allow notifications when your browser asks. Use Send a test notification to confirm it works. Notifications are per-device, so turn them on wherever you want alerts.
3. Choose what you're notified about
Once on, pick the categories you want — they all start on and you can toggle any off:
- Announcements from organizers — news and updates about your events.
- Match reminders — a heads-up before your upcoming matches.
- Match results — when your match result is posted.
- Schedule changes — when your match time or court changes.
- Waitlist offers — time-sensitive: a spot opened for you to claim before it rolls on.
If notifications are blocked, re-enable them for the site in your browser's settings, then reload. Email preferences (match reminders and organizer updates) are separate and live on your profile.
